I was thinking that since I was unable to get give the pretest to the women's lax team I would then give them team leadership evaluation and I would also give the women's ice hockey team the same leadership evaluation. Because the women's lax team participated in the leadership program and the women's hockey team did not, I would look to see if the formal and informal leadership on the women's lax team is more significant than the women's hockey team.
Instead of using the freshmen psychology classes, Avery and I decided we are going to use the Softball team. We are going to use 15 people instead of 30, and they will all be measured three different times. Once with music that has lyrics, once with music that has no lyrics and once with no music. We are still going to have them play tetris as the game
In order to get participants to get more engaged in the study I think I am going to use a simple painting and change the tint to it to see if there is a difference in mood. I will use primary colors which include red orange yellow green blue and purple.This will be less boring for participants in comparison to just looking at colors on a screen,
Since last time I have started getting together all of the pictures I am going to use for the PowerPoint. I have started putting them into my PowerPoint. I have decided that for the randomly selected couples I am just going to use other people's pictures from Facebook since it would be consistent with the pictures I am going to use for the real couples. I will be finishing the PowerPoint before next Wednesday and once I finish my PowerPoint I am going to put together the rest of my surveys and questionnaires then I am going to start meeting with teachers about times when I can go into their classes to collect my data.
I don't really have anything to update at this time. I am finishing up the tests to be given and finalizing my scripts. This week and weekend are going to be busy with registration, but I hope to be ready to recruit next week and start my experiment.
I still don't have an update but I am hoping to have start my study by Monday once I am back to my normal self. I am going to try and get my pilot study done before Monday so that I do not have any problems with my study when I start it.
